Experience The Cojuelo Culture of the Dominican Republic

At Cojuelo Folklore, we are dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich and diverse folklore of the diablo Cojuelo in the Dominican Republic. Originating in Spain and brought to the Dominican Republic in 1520, the Cojuelo culture has become an integral part of the country's Independence Day celebrations. Our mission is to offer a platform for people to learn, appreciate, and engage with various cultural traditions.

Learn about the history of the Diablo Cojuelo in the Dominican Republic, under our history tab.  Including origins and stories that have spread throughout the island across time and space.
